Alright here we go.
Well I've started an adventure here haven't I? I don't even know where to begin.
How about an update of the past 6 months.
August- I still was living in Colorado without Anthony. He had to report to base on August 1st. Not much happened this month. A lot of texts back and forth about "I miss you" (we're oh so sappy!)
September- Anthony found out we got the keys to our house on base on September 14th. Well this posed a problem. A family member was having intensive surgery that day. So my parents and I made the decision to pack up the U-haul and drive down to our (Anthony and I's) current home over Labor Day weekend and put everything in a storage unit and I stayed to visit my husband for a week before I also traveled back to Colorado for my family member's surgery. Leaving poor Anthony and one of his friends to move all of the boxes into our home on the 14th without my help at all. Poor guys! I moved in to our house 2 days after my 22nd Birthday. I think that that was my best birthday present ever.
(The surgery went well!)
October- I think we had almost completely settled down by this point. And I think this was probably around the same time that I started feeling very "cabin feverish" about living in the town we do. After growing up in a state where everything was so close and there was always somewhere to go and something to see it was a big culture shock living here. The middle of nowhere! Literally! We had a few friends over for Halloween and I passed out so much candy I had to only give out like 2 pieces per kid. I was sad for them :(
November- We had our first visitors this month! Anthony's best friend and his girlfriend came down. It was a short visit but it was so nice to have some familiar faces around! And of course my Mom and Dad came down for Thanksgiving. It was so nice having my parents in town. We had a wonderful meal and of course watched lots of sports! (Go mom for cleaning my kitchen after our meal!)
December- Anthony had been working on the "construction team" and was just getting to the end of his project of constructing a new bar for a restaurant on base and he was so happy! Plus we were going to visit his family for Christmas and he couldn't wait to see his parents and brother again! He got me Grinch Converse (Because its my favorite movie of course!) and I got him some tools and Military history books because he digs that! It was a great first Christmas together!
January- After a short couple weeks at home we were off to Colorado because he had a month long training there. So I got to see my family for a month (which was awesome because I am such a baby!) Anthony completed his training in February...
February- Anthony completes training! Soloed and airplane for the first time ever! Go him! We've made it home and now he is waiting to begin the next stage of his Pilot training to begin in March. So proud of him!
It's going to be a long journey here but I know that I've got my friends and family to help me through everything! I've been going a little stir crazy but I'm going to try and keep myself more busy!
