I recently dyed my hair brown (back to my natural color because the Texas water was making my bleached hair look like a damaged disaster!) and I could not stand it so I decided I needed to "cute" it up. So I started looking EVERYWHERE for those cute little bows for girls hair and I couldn't find anything that was small enough that I liked so I went to Hobby Lobby and found some little bows that I could manage (you'll see one in the pictures!) I was trying to figure out how I could put them in my hair without being a hassle and ta-da the idea was hatched!
Step 1: Get a bobby pin and your bow
Step 2: Slide bow onto bobby pin
Step 3: Put bobby pin in hair wherever you'd like your "hair flair"
Yay! Easy peasy!
*The Hobby Lobby bows were about 75 cents I want to say and who doesn't have a million and one bobby pins laying around their house, in the couch, car, purse etc.

What bugs me about some Food Network shows
Ok so I watch a lot of Food Network. (because I always tell myself that I'll make the things that they make, yeah that never happens lol) But anyways, I was watching and I'm sitting here thinking what happens to that leftover food. For example if the chef on the tv show uses an onion they usually use like half an onion, where does the rest go? Because if you think about it they use an new onion EVERYTIME. I seriously hope they like take the unused ingredients home with them or give them to someone or something!
Number two, they ALWAYS stress don't cross contaminate but everyone does! You know the salt bowls? Yea they season their fish, chicken, pork blah blah blah whatever but usually they take the salt and season one side then TOUCH the meat and then stick their hand BACK in the salt! Um that's contaminating your whole salt dish! (and pepper sometimes!) Yes it cooks out but there are things that you season that you don't cook! The only thing I can think of right this very second is vinaigrette for salads. But I know there are other things!
And number 3, they're making these dishes on their shows for "show" but usually the staff eats them. And they sometimes stick a spoon they're mixing with in their mouth and then stick it back in the bowl! (this is usually Anne Burell) and she says all cooks do it all the time! She works in a restaurant. I mean I'm kind of afraid to go to a fancy restaurant and eat if everyone is tasting my food before I do! Yuck!
Ok I sound OCD but ahh I can't get over it lol and some of you will say "then don't watch" but I do like to watch and will continue there was just a few things I found weird!

Dinner Tonight- Crockpot Buffalo Chicken

So I made the potato chips that I previously posted and the recipe from Pinterest there. Yum! The only thing I did differently with this was add Red Pepper Flakes cuz I like the kick! (Oh and I added the whole Ranch Packet because I didn't read the directions on that part. But I like Ranch so its ok!)

Potatoes = My weakness
Wheeee font color fun! Ok anyways, I love potatoes. Oven roasted, mashed, chips, twice baked, skins, just give me them! So tonight I give you home made potato chips!
Step 1- Carefully use mandolin (don't slice off your fingers that would suck) and slice your potatoes into thin slices if you don't have a mandolin and are more talented than I am about cutting thin potato slices then just use a knife, be careful with that too!
Step 2- Heat your oil. I used Vegetable Oil, well because that's all I can really get in those mondo giant bottles.
Step 3- Put potato slices in the oil until they turn golden brown. Remove from pan and put onto a plate with a paper towel or two on top (to hopefully get some of the grease)
Step 4- Season the heck out of them! I used Season All because its exceptionally tasty.
Step 5- Try not to eat all of them in two seconds! :)

Ugh Armpit Stains! Gross!
I don't know what it is about white t-shirts that I find so comforting. I have had probably at least 20 of them in the last like 5 years or so? (that number seems low) Anyways, I always throw them away because of those nasty armpit stains. I have learned to find out that they are not because of sweat but because of the reaction of your sweat and your deodorant. And you try to get rid of them but no way! Bleach doesn't work (really?! bleach?!) and your common fabric stain remover (shout for example) doesn't even come close.
So I discovered this "miracle solution" on Pinterest and of course was skeptical but I decided to try it. I'm sure if you have Pinterest you've seen this on there as well. Here's the Pin from my Pinterest

Anyways, in the blog this lady she posted how she added baking soda and used a scrub brush. So naturally I did the same thing. I first tried it on my Husband's Harley t-shirt that he had to wear for riding his Harley around base (it's long sleeved) but man did he wear the CRAP out of that shirt. Thing got gross fast he also wore it to work on the construction on base that I previously talked about. (We live in Texas sweating all day working on a bar, ew!) Ok I'm ranting but it worked! So I was like ok if it worked on that I'm definitely doing it to my beloved white t-shirts. Here's the results from my "experiment"

Viola! No more throwing away my white t-shirts!
Helpful hint! After I scrubbed the shirt and I could tell that the stain had been lifted, I rinsed my shirts off with warm water. (In the blog I pinned she had let her shirts sit for an hour and they were fine without being rinsed.)

Last Post For Today- Soft Pretzel Bites
Yum! These are so good! We dipped them in just cream cheese. Yea I thought it sounded weird too but it really is delicious!

Okay here's a few tips after making these today:
1- The dough really needs to be by a source of warmth to make it proof. It took me double the amount of time because I just set it in my kitchen and that did not work at all. Who would of thought?
2- After you boil the bites and your going to put them on the cookie sheet DON'T PANIC they are going to come out a little slimy but its ok! (Yes I had a mini panic attack eek!) Bake them as directed!

3- I used just a pinch of regular table salt on top seeing as I don't own coarse salt and I made these on a whim (as usual!) and they still turned out tasty!
